The fabrics

Intended to home furniture, the fabrics are designed by the most prestigious designers; French for the most part, otherwise English or Italian. All the fabrics are selected for their strength, their patterns and their colour.

A forgotten job

Le Lissier takes its name from the eponymous upholsterer artisan. This one manually performs the weaving of the tapestry on a loom, called a loom craft.

The authentic and delicate gestures of the weaver are repeated rhythmically to create the tapestry. It can take several months or even years in order to obtain a great tapestry.

This exclusive savoir-faire is still perpetuated at the Royal Manufactures des Gobelins and in Aubusson, the international city of tapestry.

Nicole

Always passionate about fashion and home design, I like to combine colours and mix materials.

I was inspired by old fabrics, especially those that upholstered the furniture of my grandparents' Paris apartment.

It was by putting away my grandmother old curtains that the idea came to me.

I decided to mix two different universes by mixing old-fashioned/vintage fabrics with clean design sneakers.

It is after 3 years of experience in the fashion industry that I decided to create and launch my own sneakers label: Le Lissier
